Nice doc, Cormac. Do you think, when/if you get five minutes, you could post the five steps into the outline text in this doc?

Part 1: Configuring the FalconStor NSS Virtual Appliance

Part 2: Configuring the ESX to use FalconStor NSS VA Storage

Part 3: Configure Replciation on the NSS VAs.

Part 4: Install the FalconStor Storage Replication Adapter

Part 5: Configure the SRA & Test SRM Functionality

I think this would help future readers get a better snapshot in their head before they have to open it (this is something that readers like, based on a recent survey).

Thanks!

Steve

Great document Cormac! I was planning to write a doc like this about the falconstor, but i am going to cancel it now you have published this one.

Hopefully Falconstor removes the license requirements for the SRA. I've allready contacted Falconstor about it 1 month ago and they provided it without any question. So if you want to test this feel free to cantact them for the key. They said to me they wanted to remove it in the feature so you don't need that key anymore for the SRA

Hi Tomas,

Thanks for the feedback. I must say I have found FalconStor very helpful with any requests & queries I've had about the NSS VA, IPStor Console or SRA.

I think it is a good idea that they are going to remove the need for a license key in the SRA - it will give more people the opportunity to evaluate the product.

I agree on the support from Falconstor. To me they were also very helpful! In that way I think they are willing to supply this license key to everyone who is requesting it.
